Slow Running Computer, how to fix it?

There is no experience of computers better than the experience of a new computer and quick run computers. Unfortunately, over time, the computer will start slowly, and there are many reasons. For those who are not computer savvy, it is not necessarily caused by downloading the wrong program to as many of us think. It happens time and does not know how to take care of your computer. There are steps that can help your computer work faster. Want to explore why it might be slow running computer and how to remedy the situation.

What are some reasons that might slow down your computer?

Defective hardware, Corrupt OS, Computer is overheating, Missing windows update / outdated driver, Data corruption, Left on the programs and the bad image of the lack of hard disk space.

A lot of explanations immediately create anxiety. Do not worry. Although it may seem technical, each is easy to correct. A slow running computer can be connected to a few simple steps.

  1. Reboot. First on the list is to restart your computer.
  2. The lack of hard drive space: If your computer is suffering from insufficient hard disk space and slow down. Computer must have at least 200 to 500 MB if you’re running Windows Vista or 7 users who want to open the Computer icon. There you will see a bar showing the percentage of free disk space is used. If your operating system Microsoft Windows 2000 or Windows XP, you’re my computer displays the total size and free space for each disk.
  3. Fragmented or corrupted hard disk: If the hard drive is fragmented or damaged, you must run ScanDisk. If there is something wrong, you do ScanDisk to check it out. Next to run Defrag. This helps to organize the information correctly.
  4. Background Programs: Disable or remove all startup programs that start automatically each time the computer starts.
  5. Scan for malware: Malware is an enormous problem on your computer, and often the reason for a slow computer. Scan your computer for malware.
  6. Hardware Conflicts: for hardware conflicts, it will be necessary to determine if there are conflicts with the Disk Manager. This may be the reason for a slow computer on.
  7. Windows Update: After the latest update is important and will help make your computer run faster. Also make sure all plug-in are updated.
  8. Update drivers. Make sure you have the latest drivers for your computer.
  9. Computer or processor overheating: If your computer or processor is overheating, it could certainly be the cause of a slow computer. Dirt, hair, and dust can also strengthen the flow of air into the computer, which can cause it to overheat. Make sure the case fans are clean and unobstructed.
  10. Memory expansion: If the computer is more than a year, you cannot have the correct memory requirement. Make sure your PC is by renting a 1 GB of memory.

AMD to Refresh Its A-Series APU Lineup

In the first quarter 2012, AMD plans to refresh its A-Series APU lineup with include three new chips based on Llano architecture that increase specifications of its predecessor. These three new APU will be named A8-3820, A6-3620, and A4-3420.

AMD A-Series APU

AMD A-Series APU

The first two is quad-core type, while the next series is dual-core type. The first chip, A8-3820 is a chip designed to replace A8-3800. With this chip, AMD has increase operating frequency from 2.4GHz – 2.5GHz, while with maximum Turbo speed can reach 2.8GHz. Graphic Core did not change as it features same 400 shader unit that run at 600MHz.

Another type of quad-core is A6-3620, also doesn’t bring much difference when compared with A6-3600. However, speed will increased slightly, while running with maximum Turbo speed, operating frequency can reach from base clock 2.2GHz to 2.5GHz Turbo.

The last APU that AMD plan to introduce is A4-3420. The A4-3420 will be clock at 2.8GHz and integrated with HD 6530D graphics core. While, this GPU wasn’t changed from previous series (A4-3400), these new APU is claimed 100MHz faster than its predecessor.

All three parts detailed will have the same 65W TDP, but no information regarding their pricing is available at this point in time.

Accelerated Processing Unit (APU)

You may already familiar with the term “CPU” and “GPU”. When the name “AMD” or “Intel” is called, you must associate it with the CPU. Meanwhile, ATI and nVIDIA associated with the GPU. Now, almost no difference between the CPU and GPU. This is because, combining the CPU and GPU architectures have now been realized with the name of the Accelerated Processing Unit (APU).

Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) is a new term currently used by AMD for their products. Although competitors, Intel, also update their processors with similar technology, Intel does not use the term Accelerated Processing Unit (APU).

Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) design

Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) design

Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) is a processor that combines elements of the CPU and GPU, not just in a single die, but also within a single architecture. The first APU product introduced by AMD within the ranks of AMD Fusion processors, while Intel’s Sandy Bridge processor in it. Both AMD and Intel embed their own GPU architecture into their new processor. Combined between the CPU and GPU are successful in increasing the data transfer rate between the components of the CPU and GPU of the previously separate while saving power consumption.

Advantages of Accelerated Processing Unit (APU)

There are several facts which the notebook is damaged due to an onboard graphics card is damaged, and most of them use AMD processors. The unification of the GPU into a CPU, which was initiated by AMD is believed to be the solution to these problems. In fact, some of the newest netbooks are orchestrated by the AMD Fusion has proven a reliable graphics performance and low temperatures as a result of this.

Improved graphics performance is the main advantage brought by the Accelerated Processing Unit (APU). Although the graphics card is embedded in the APU is not intended to compete with high-end graphics card or mid-end, at least Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) is better than an onboard graphics card before.

Another advantage brought by the Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) is the increase in power efficiency. Integrating GPU into the processor architecture allows the CPU and GPU share resources (including silicon) and achieves the same performance with graphic cards before. This means that, with much less power, the APU can replicate the performance of the system is equipped with low-end graphics cards. That is why the heat generated during a notebook / netbook that have applied this technology becomes lower and the battery life even longer.

How it Works

To understand how the Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) works, let us review the interconnection between the GPU and CPU in the old architecture. Data flows from the PCI Express to an existing video processing unit in the GPU for processing. Once completed, the data is sent to the HyperTransport to the CPU. The data received by the memory controller in the CPU to be forwarded to the CPU cores. Furthermore, the data is already processed in the CPU core back across the memory controller, HyperTransport, back to the GPU. From GPU then the data is sent to the monitor for display.

Well, the Accelerated Processing Unit (APU), the CPU core and GPU video processing units are placed side by side in a single die. Its midst there is a high performance bus and memory controller that is also planting in the same die. Previous data in and out of GPU and CPU via HyperTransport is now processed in one place. Once cooked, then the data is sent to the monitor via an interface platform. The unification of the GPU and CPU cores within a die is not just to save space (silicon) and power, but also eliminates the possibility of data congestion (bottlenecks) between the GPU and CPU are separate.

The future trend.

Interested to upgrade your processor with APU? No need to hurry if budget is not enough. If not now, later you will feel it too. Because the APU will be the future trend of the processor. All Intel processors, unless required, will be built with the architecture of Accelerated Processing Unit (APU).
Similarly, with all ranks of AMD processors are starting later this year will use the architecture Accelerated Processing Unit (APU) Not to forget that Nvidia recently announced production plans for the ARM processor in a PC, also confirmed using the Accelerated Processing Unit (APU). That is, sooner or later, you will certainly use the APU.

Tips to Make Invisible Folder

Forbidden Files / Folders?

Sometimes we have multiple files or folders that do not want known by others. How can we trick, so the file / folder cannot be seen by others and also does not look suspicious?

Any Better Idea than Hidden Folders?

Quite a few of us know the way to a hidden folder. We just need to set the Attributes in the properties of a file to be hidden. But, if we use this way, the folder or file can still be displayed, by setting the Folder Options (View tab) as shown below.

show hidden files

When the folder is visible, it even makes others suspicious of why we hide these folders and make them more willing to open it.

How Can We Make It Invisible?

Well, how do I create a file / folder becomes “invisible”? We just need to make it realize its existence by others; do not even need to be set as hidden files.

The first step, try to create a new folder on your desktop by right click and select New> Folder. Next, right-click the newly created folder and select Rename. When will rename the folder, delete the first name “New Folder” which is made automatically. Once the name is empty, hold the Alt key while pressing 0160 on the Numpad (make sure Num Lock is active). So, will appear a blank character as shown below

hidden folder

Why do we bother to name it like that? Because if we fill in the name of the folder is empty or filled only by a space, by default folder will be re-named “New Folder” as the first time making it.

The next step, you have to replace the folder icon. Right-click on the folder and select Properties, then select Customize tab and select Change Icon like the example below:

hidden file or folder, change an icon

When the window “Change Icon for Folder” appears, choose the icon that is not illustrated, and select OK as shown below.

hidden folder and files, change an icon

In the circumstances are not highlighted, an icon and his name was not visible at all, is not it? Finally, to further ensure that is not easily visible, place the folder at the end of the desktop.

Virtual Private Data Center

Part of what makes the cloud-based systems is desirable for companies are that they offer the advantages of a hosted infrastructure at no additional cost for the equipment. Cloud hosting services can help companies to expand the potential benefits of cloud computing through the deployment of Virtual Private Data Center (VPDC).

Cloud computing encompasses a variety of on-demand technologies and applications that users can access via the Internet. E-mail, remote data backup and storage, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) are just some applications that companies already use to support business processes. However, traditional public cloud solutions lack the flexibility and controls that businesses require for critical applications and processes data.

Implement a Virtual Private Data Center can provide an ideal solution for creating a secure and scalable environment. This combines the privacy, performance and reliability in a cost-effective data center business, scalability and ease of use of cloud systems.

So how does this benefit the business?

A Virtual Private Data Center essentially virtualizes all aspects of IT infrastructure – from servers and operating systems, switches, load balancers, firewalls, etc. Companies can enjoy the benefits of a corporate data center without the cost of a home-scale data infrastructure. Service providers take care of the hosting cloud physical infrastructure, which can be adapted to customer needs.

In the heart of a Virtual Private Data Center is a layer of virtualization management. Using a Web-based interface, administrators can create and configure virtual devices in a very short time. Administrators and systems engineers can test the hardware and software configurations before deployment in a production environment. By testing components in a virtual environment, teams can determine the most efficient and robust configuration for a particular application without having to invest in equipment.

It can also significantly reduce time to market for enterprise applications. Because the configurations can be saved as templates, organizations can quickly provide multiple production environments, eliminating the need to re-test and configure the various components.

Another advantage of implementing a Virtual Private Data Center is the ability to quickly upgrade components as needed. One of the difficulties encountered in conventional data centers the company is the incompatibility between the hardware and the legacy of the new components. Virtual appliances enable administrators to test and implement different hardware configurations. And new technologies are available, can be quickly integrated into a production environment.

A cloud hosting provider with extensive experience in creating complex virtual environments can provide the technology and expertise necessary for companies to implement a virtual private data center. With the high level of scalability and availability provided by Virtual Private Data Center, organizations can have total control over their own private networks to support their business needs.
