Sometimes we have multiple files or folders that do not want known by others. How can we trick, so the file / folder cannot be seen by others and also does not look suspicious?
Any Better Idea than Hidden Folders?
Quite a few of us know the way to a hidden folder. We just need to set the Attributes in the properties of a file to be hidden. But, if we use this way, the folder or file can still be displayed, by setting the Folder Options (View tab) as shown below.
When the folder is visible, it even makes others suspicious of why we hide these folders and make them more willing to open it.
How Can We Make It Invisible?
Well, how do I create a file / folder becomes “invisible”? We just need to make it realize its existence by others; do not even need to be set as hidden files.
The first step, try to create a new folder on your desktop by right click and select New> Folder. Next, right-click the newly created folder and select Rename. When will rename the folder, delete the first name “New Folder” which is made automatically. Once the name is empty, hold the Alt key while pressing 0160 on the Numpad (make sure Num Lock is active). So, will appear a blank character as shown below
Why do we bother to name it like that? Because if we fill in the name of the folder is empty or filled only by a space, by default folder will be re-named “New Folder” as the first time making it.
The next step, you have to replace the folder icon. Right-click on the folder and select Properties, then select Customize tab and select Change Icon like the example below:
When the window “Change Icon for Folder” appears, choose the icon that is not illustrated, and select OK as shown below.
In the circumstances are not highlighted, an icon and his name was not visible at all, is not it? Finally, to further ensure that is not easily visible, place the folder at the end of the desktop.
