Sony Ericsson launches Xperia Studio, an online entertainment platform that is intended for artists and collaborators for creating and sharing innovative content. This initiative is part of Sony Ericsson‘s commitment in dealing with consumers through quality entertainment content. Through the entertainment content, Sony Ericsson hopes to inspire consumers to explore a range of sophistication that owned the Xperia Smartphone.

Through Xperia Studio, Sony Ericsson invites creative workers, artists, and academics to use a series of Xperia Smartphone’s. The collaborators are encouraged to utilize all the sophistication offered Xperia to create entertainment content that not only shows the maximum potential of the Xperia, but also exhibit ingenuity of each individual. Any such content will be updated regularly from a growing list of contributors.

This project attempts to establish Sony Ericsson as an innovator who is always trying to combine entertainment, technology, and communications. In this first phase, the collaborators involved in the Xperia Studio include:

- Illutron, a collaborative interactive art studio in Copenhagen
- Dr. Joshua Peek, a Hubble Fellow and astrophysicist at Columbia University, NYC
- Ed Sloane, a lifelong surfer and innovative surf photographer from Victoria, Australia
- Annabel Linquist – an artist and musician from NYC

The first phase of the project has seen collaborators from around the world use Xperia handsets to create a flame-thrower camera flash, view the universe with the naked eye, capture the perfect wave and create a song from the ambient sounds of Paris. Each influencer project has been video-documented and uploaded to the Xperia Studio platform, an always on content theatre that showcases the interesting and innovative work being done as part of the global initiative. Xperia Studio also lives on Facebook and Twitter.
